Adrian Nivola: Sculpture

The Drawing Room is pleased to present "Adrian Nivola | Sculpture", an exhibition of imagined musical instruments exploring the concept of visual music.

Adrian Nivola's gift of visual imagination is rivaled only by his aptitude for precision and innovation. Inspired by his love of musical traditions, he recycles parts of castaway brass, string and wood instruments, integrating them into structures that possess meticulous, lyrical silhouettes. Delicately carved wood elements reveal the artist’s fine touch, drawing viewers into the intimate architecture of each object. Larger works appear to be eccentric contraptions rigged to create a chain reaction of sound and tone.
