Points of Light: Vija Celmins • Alice Hope • John Iversen • Patricia Maurides • Ted Muehling • Michelle Stuart • John Torreano
The Drawing Room is pleased to present Points of Light, an exhibition featuring works by contemporary artists VIJA CELMINS, ALICE HOPE, JOHN IVERSEN, PATRICIA MAURIDES, TED MUEHLING, MICHELLE STUART and JOHN TORREANO. On view from November 28th, 2025 through January 18th, 2026, the show includes painting, scupture, photography, prints and collages, as well as handcrafted jewelry and decorative objects made in etched glass, bronze and porcelain.
While each artist approaches the creative process from a unique conceptual framework and employs distinct materials and techniques, their works are unified by an overarching sensitivity to nuances of luminosity, reflectivity and translucence. All seven artists also share a sense of wonder towards the natural surroundings of Long Island's East End, where the mysterious quality of light and mesmerizing tides have propelled artistic practices for generations.
